Reboring and Honing

All reboring undertaken is strictly monitored to ensure that the correct wall thickness is maintained. All bore centre lines are machined dead accurate and precisely in keeping with the geometry and angles of the engine block or cylinder head. The surface finish of cylinder blocks is carried out by the surface milling procedure in conjunction with the reboring process.

On completion of the reboring cycle the cylinder walls are honed with the correct cross-hatch to meet the specifications for the particular engine. Torque plates are utilised on the various engine blocks to minimise distortion and guarantee quality workmanship.
