The grinding of a crankshaft is regarded as a very sophisticated task. All shafts are ground to the nearest micron according to OEM specification. The crankshaft is firstly crack tested, hardness tested and therafter tested for straightness and then machined.
After grinding, the journals are polished to ensure longer bearing life.
